September's Last Stand (Plein-Air of Georgian Bay)

A small plein-air oil study of Georgian Bay.

Painted outdoors while I was sitting on the shore of Georgian Bay over the September long weekend, September's Last Stand is a quick, direct study of the shoreline, light, and atmosphere.

This original 4x4" mini painting is made with oil paint on a canvas panel and is sold unframed. 

Varnishing options

Oil paintings need time to cure before a final protective varnish can be applied.

Choose what works best for you:

• Ship or deliver now: The painting will arrive with only a retouch varnish which doesn't provide the same level of protection as a regular varnish.
• Varnish later: Receive it now and return it to the studio in approximately 3–6 months for final varnishing. 
• Wait for final varnish: Keep the painting in the studio until it is ready to be fully varnished. The earliest shipping date for a varnished painting is December 9.

Shipping timeline

Original paintings are carefully packaged by hand. Please allow 5–10 business days for packaging and dispatch. International orders may be subject to customs duties and import taxes.

Shipping costs are additional and quoted separately. I'll invoice you after dispatch. Shipping costs for fine art can vary substantially depending on destination, timeline, and custom handling needs. Many collectors have their own preferences, such as adding insurance or using specialist art couriers for high-value, one-of-a-kind pieces. I invoice separately so that you only pay for what you need.
