Shipping policy

Shipping is available worldwide (with some exceptions). If your country isn’t listed at checkout, please get in touch and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.

If I’m unable to ship to your location, or if shipping costs are significantly higher than expected, I will contact you with options — or issue a full refund, no questions asked.

Please note: International orders may be subject to customs duties or import taxes. These are the responsibility of the recipient.

Framing & Care

I generally sell my work unframed, unless otherwise specified. This allows collectors to make their own framing decisions and reduces shipping costs. I’m happy to provide framing tips and recommendations, and care instructions are included with every hand-packaged piece.

Independent Artist & Fulfilment

As an independent artist, all hand-fulfilled orders depend on my schedule and availability. Shipping and fulfilment times are estimates, not guarantees. If you have a time-sensitive deadline, please contact me — I’ll do my best to accommodate if feasible, or discuss rush options if available (additional costs may apply).

Lost or Damaged Items

If your order is lost or damaged in transit, please contact me immediately so we can resolve the issue. While all orders are carefully packaged, I cannot guarantee against loss or damage during transit. Originals and commissions are one-of-a-kind works. Standard shipping insurance may not cover the full value of the work, and additional insurance is the responsibility of the collector. I will do my best to assist if issues arise, but cannot guarantee full compensation.

Note: Printful-fulfilled items have their own shipping policies. I will do my best to help with any issues, but customers are generally encouraged to contact Printful directly for support.

Original Paintings

Shipping costs for original paintings are quoted separately and invoiced after dispatch. Fine art shipping costs vary substantially depending on destination, timeline, and any specialist handling or insurance requirements. Many collectors prefer to add insurance or use specialist art couriers for high-value works. For collectors in the Grey County or Toronto area, local pickup may be available. For these reasons, I invoice separately so you pay only for the shipping services you need. I’m happy to arrange standard shipping on your behalf, or you may arrange your own courier if preferred.

Commissions

Shipping policy for commissions is the same as for original paintings. Refunds are not available once work has begun.

As part of the commission process, we will confirm your shipping preferences and timeline expectations. A commission agreement will be sent for your approval before I start work, giving you the option to cancel if the shipping terms do not meet your needs.

Digital commissions delivered electronically are not subject to shipping costs. If you choose to order fine art prints or other physical add-ons of a digital work, shipping costs will apply.

Fine Art Prints

Prints are made to order by a specialist fine art printer, inspected and hand-signed by Doris Rose, and carefully packaged. They are shipped via standard tracked shipping.

Please allow 2–4 weeks for production and dispatch, in addition to shipping transit time. Production and packaging timelines may vary slightly due to order volume.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your region. If I am unable to ship to your location or if costs are significantly higher than the typical rate for your region, I will contact you with options — or issue a full refund, no questions asked.

Goods Fulfilled by Printful

Some paper goods and other physical items are fulfilled by Printful using original Doris Rose designs. Shipping and shipping policy for these items are managed by Printful.
