Your artwork is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. This is an important document that determines the artwork's provenance, records key information, and confirms it is an original work by Doris Rose. Please keep it in a safe place.

When you purchase an original artwork, you receive physical ownership of the piece. However, the artist always retains copyright ownership. This means that nobody other than the artist may copy, reproduce, or photograph the artwork for distribution or commercial gain without prior written consent.

You may not permit any modification of the work. If you decide to resell this artwork in the future, please notify me, as I may be entitled to resale rights.

You are very welcome to share images and videos of your artwork online or on social media for non-commercial purposes. Please credit Doris Rose, link to her social media accounts where possible (@dorisroseart), and ensure that any shared images are not high-resolution.

Hang artwork at eye level, or approximately 4–6 inches above furniture. If displaying multiple works, treat the arrangement as one large composition.

• Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade colours over time
• Keep away from extreme temperatures or humidity
• Avoid hanging directly over fires, radiators, heaters, or near hot light bulbs
• Avoid bathrooms and kitchens where moisture and steam are present

Large or heavy artworks may come with a hanging block rather than a traditional wired back. Please get in touch if you need hanging guidance specific to your piece.

Dust artwork gently with a dry, soft, fine brush. Do not use cloths or feather dusters, which may catch on the surface.

• Never use water, damp cloths, chemicals, household cleaning products, or alcohol on the artwork itself
• Cleaning and repair should always be carried out by a professional art conservator
• Frames can be dusted regularly and cleaned with a damp cloth or whatever is recommended for the frame material

Flat painting panels, art prints, and works on paper are best displayed in a frame. You can use a ready-made frame in a standard size, or take your artwork to a framer for a custom fit.

• Consider using matting (a card border) to add presentation and extra protection
• Look for UV-protective or museum glass to protect against light damage
• Use archival, acid-free materials throughout

Larger prints are sometimes shipped rolled in a tube to protect them during transit. If your print arrived this way, it will need to be flattened before framing.

• Unroll the print gently and lay it face-up on a clean, flat surface
• Place a sheet of clean paper or tissue over the print to protect the surface
• Weigh it down evenly with heavy books or flat objects
• Leave for at least 24 hours before framing

Do not use heat or moisture to flatten the print, and avoid pressing directly on the surface without a protective layer.

• Add corner protectors and wrap in acid-free paper such as glassine
• Protect with bubble wrap or foam and place in a solid box or crate
• Store artwork upright — do not place heavy items on top or lean against angular surfaces
• Store raised above floor level to reduce the risk of water damage
