This is my own painted master copy, not a print or an original work by Van Gogh.

On a trip to the National Gallery, I picked up a set of 100 postcards to use as starting points for mini oil studies: a way to warm up in the studio, practise, and paint for the fun of it. Working from the Sunflowers postcard, I added my own details and flourishes where I had a little more space.

A small piece of that studio practice, now available as part of my Studio Sale.

Medium: oil on canvas panel

Size: 5 × 7 inches (12.7 × 17.8 cm)

Completed: November 3, 2026

Reference artwork: Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890), Sunflowers, 1888, oil on canvas, 92.1 × 73 cm.
